Bad name for scifi.Reviewed by L. Samuelson, 2010-03-07
I am an avid science fiction fan but I found this movie to be
boring and predictable. Supposedly set in the future, I found it
totally implausible to be shoveling coal into an inter-planetary
spaceship.
But that was the least of this movie's problems; the plot was as
vague as the cinematography. The scenes were dark and confusing.
The dark battle scene at the beginning of the movie was reminiscent
of WWI but the movie was supposedly set in the future, and then
suddenly it turned into a slasher movie with mutants possessing
lobster claws ripping soldiers apart in a blood fest of gore.
This is the kind of movie that gives scifi a bad reputation. It was
hard to understand what was happening and why. The exposition was
vague, the characterization was awful, and the plot was hard to
follow. Save your money on this one, don't buy it. L.W.
I like movies like this.Reviewed by Daniel C. Scoggins, 2010-02-27
I didn't really know what to expect from this movie when I got it. I saw previews and it looked cool. After watching it I liked it. It didn't blow me away or anything but I liked. It was gorier than I thought it would be but then again it is a zombie type movie. The style of the movie was cool looking especially in Blu-Ray. The only issues were that I had to upgrade the firmware on my Blu-Ray player to watch this movie. Which was probably my fault for not keeping my technology updated. Anyway, back to the movie, it was fun to watch.

Worst movie I've ever seen. I start to vomit in my mouth when I think I spent money on it
Quite entertaining.Reviewed by Boba Dad, 2010-02-01
I know the other reviewers sort of panned this movie, but I had
caught a glimpse of it on sci-fi channel and found it
interesting.
And by the looks of it on tv, edited quite a bit. So seeing this at
a great price as a bluray, I figured what the hey. It's not a grade
A movie, but a good B movie.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. Liked the premise of a future world and
the kind of society it presented, a corporate future fighting for
the last of earths resources. Lots of action. I thought the effects
were quite good for the budget. Not much CGI, but old school
effects meaning masks and suits as opposed to computer generated
beings. Probably more cost effective. The acting was pretty good
with name stars although Jon Malkovich didn't have much of a role.
The movie itself was on the dark side, as in not much lighting, but
the clarity was there. It really looked good in blu. Very
sharp.
Lots of neat features on the disc. I saw this 3 weeks ago, so
apologies when I say I forgot what they were. I only checked out
out a few at the time, like the "making of", but loads of good
stuff to make the purchase worthwhile.
Better than I thought.Reviewed by D. Lloyd, 2010-01-29
I'd never heard of this movie and right away expected it to suck. I was browsing the aisles at BestBuy and came across this; I read the synopsis and liked it. They wanted $30 there so I looked it up on Amazon and ordered it right there..I'm not disappointed.
